Ron Barbee

Ron Barbee is an experienced automation and software development professional specializing in energy storage systems, microgrid integration, and utility projects within the oil and gas industry. Currently serving as Automation Manager at Current Power, Ron leads initiatives involving Siemens-based automation controllers and power conversion devices. Prior to this role, Ron held positions as Senior Automation Engineer, Automation Engineer, and Design Draftsman, where expertise in battery storage solutions, VFD, PLC, and control panel development was demonstrated. Ron's career began in the US Navy, managing maintenance teams for advanced radar systems, and includes experience in inventory control from Walmart. Ron holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Houston and is pursuing further education in Mandarin at GoEast Mandarin.
