Alex Baldock

Alex Baldock is the Group Chief Executive Officer at Currys plc, a position held since April 2018. Prior to this role, Alex served as Group Chief Executive at Shop Direct from 2012 to 2018, and held various leadership positions, including Managing Director at Lombard within the Royal Bank of Scotland from 2008 to 2012, where Alex oversaw Europe's leading asset finance firm. Alex's extensive experience in the financial and consulting sectors includes roles at Barclays Bank, Dentsu, Strategic Management Consulting, BBC, Bain & Company, and Kalchas. Alex holds a Master of Arts in Modern History from the University of Oxford, complemented by further education at Harvard Business School and INSEAD.
