Andy Smith is an experienced geotechnical engineer with a robust background in the field, holding a degree in Geology from the University of Durham. Andy began a career at AECOM as a Graduate Geotechnical Engineer from October 2006 to April 2010. Following this, Andy worked at Site Analytical Services as a Geotechnical Engineer until November 2015. Andy then advanced to roles at Fairhurst, serving as a Project Geotechnical & Geoenvironmental Engineer, Senior Geotechnical & Geoenvironmental Engineer, and eventually as Principal Geotechnical & Geoenvironmental Engineer from July 2019 to January 2020. Most recently, Andy held the positions of Principal Geotechnical Engineer and Associate at Curtins from February 2020 to January 2023.
