Andrew Thornton has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and industries. Andrew started their career as a Commercial Officer/Project Manager at Kennicott Water Treatment in 1989. Andrew then moved on to Rolls-Royce as a Senior Commercial Officer before joining AEA Technology as Head of Commercial in 1997. At AEA Technology, they led teams of commercial and supply chain managers and was responsible for commercial management and the commercialization of advanced technologies in various markets.

In 2001, Thornton became the Commercial Director at Accentus plc, where they worked until 2005.
