Barry Penfold

Electrical Engineer

Barry Penfold is a knowledgeable electrical engineer with extensive experience in designing and testing electronic systems. Currently serving as Principal Electrical Engineer at Curtiss-Wright Corporation since September 2010, Barry focuses on critical components for nuclear power, including plant performance systems, process control instrumentation, and power supplies. Previously, Barry worked as an Electrical Engineer at DICKEY-john from 1997 to September 2010, where responsibilities included creating testing systems for agricultural products and developing innovative products like the Vigilense® Blockage Seed Sensor. Earlier experience includes a role as Electrical Design Engineer at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, specializing in closed-loop degaussing systems for naval vessels. Barry holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Brigham Young University.
