Douglas Brown

Douglas Brown has an extensive work experience spanning several companies and roles. Douglas is currently working as the Senior Director of Systems Engineering at Curtiss-Wright Corporation since September 2022.

Prior to this, Brown worked at General Atomics where they held multiple positions. From August 2016 to May 2022, they served as the Director of Engineering, leading an 80-person sustainment organization responsible for maintaining various product families. Douglas managed teams responsible for engineering change management, technical manuals, and customer training. From October 2012 to August 2016, they also held the role of Director of Engineering, overseeing a 50-person engineering design and development organization responsible for various products. During their time at General Atomics, they served on the EMS Directors Council and directed the development of General Atomic's next-generation radiation monitoring system.

Before joining General Atomics, Brown worked at HP as the Reverse Logistics Service Engineering Director from February 2010 to December 2011. In this role, they led global reverse logistics engineering and service account teams, reducing warranty cost as a percentage of revenue.

Earlier in their career, Brown worked at Kyocera Communications, Inc., where they held various roles. From April 2009 to February 2010, they led the Interface Management team responsible for interfacing with carrier reverse logistics teams. From November 2005 to March 2009, they served as the Director of Service Management, responsible for managing a global reverse logistics organization. From August 2004 to November 2005, they were the Director of Engineering, overseeing a cross-functional engineering department.

Douglas Brown holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) from Arizona State University.
