Chad Testa

Chad Testa has a wealth of experience in the bioscience industry. Chad has worked as a CEO at Curza since 2023, where they oversee the development of novel antibacterial agents. Prior to that, they held the position of Vice President at Curza, where they led the research team and contributed to the conception of new chemotypes. Before joining Curza, Chad was the Director of the USTAR Synthetic and Medicinal Chemistry Core at the University of Utah, where they facilitated research and collaborations between the university and local companies. Earlier in their career, Chad held positions as Vice President of Research and Development at Echelon Biosciences and Frontier Scientific, specializing in lipid signaling, glycosaminoglycans, and peptides. Chad also worked as a Graduate Student at the University of Utah's Department of Chemistry. Chad Testa has a strong background in research and development within the bioscience industry.

Chad began their academic journey at Ithaca College from 1991 to 1995, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree with a focus on Biochemistry. Following this, they pursued further studies at Bucknell University from 1995 to 1997, where they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Chemistry. Finally, they attended the University of Utah from 1997 to 2002, culminating their education with a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Chemistry.
