As International Chief Financial & Operating Officer (CFOO), Manuel Uría is responsible for Cushman & Wakefield’s EMEA and APAC Finance and Operations functions. In this role, Manuel partners with the firm’s regional leadership and global functions to drive strategy, financial performance and operational excellence in order to optimize resources and accelerate growth and profitability.
Manuel is a senior executive with more than 30 years of extensive international experience, which he acquired through successive finance and operational leadership appointments at public companies. He joined Cushman & Wakefield in September 2017, initially serving as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), EMEA before being promoted to CFOO, EMEA in 2019. As CFOO, EMEA, Manuel’s vision and leadership were instrumental in meaningfully improving the financial and operational performance of the region. He also helped the EMEA region successfully navigate significant events, including the firm’s IPO, COVID-19 and the Russia-Ukraine crisis, all while delivering outstanding margin expansion.
Prior to Cushman & Wakefield, Manuel spent 20 years with General Electric (GE), where he served in several finance leadership roles across the company’s Industrial and Financial Services business units in Spain, the Netherlands and the UK. He gained exposure to the real estate industry as CFO for the GE Real Estate UK business, an investor in commercial real estate equity and debt, between 2007 and 2011. Manuel started his career with Arthur Andersen in Spain, where he earned a professional qualification from the Spanish Institute of Accounting and Audit (ICAC).
