Jonas Köhler

Jonas Köhler is a member of the technical staff at CuspAI since September 2024, focusing on machine learning research for accelerated material discovery. Prior to this role, Jonas served as a senior researcher at Microsoft from January 2023 to September 2024, where research centered on ab-initio electronic structure using deep learning techniques. Earlier experience includes a researcher position at Freie Universität Berlin from December 2018 to December 2022, investigating normalizing flows and diffusion models, and an internship as a research scientist at Google DeepMind within the AlphaFold team for a brief period in late 2021. Additionally, Jonas was an IPAM Core Program Fellow at the Institute for Pure and Applied Mathematics in late 2019, contributing to research on exact-likelihood models and the intersections of machine learning with re-normalization groups and physical constraints.
