Jon Acuff has worked in the engineering and automotive industries since 2004. From 2004 to 2007, they were a Certified Audi Automotive Technician at Commonwealth Audi. During this time, they used computer diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot emissions equipment, on-board computer modules and electrical systems, as well as performing heavy line repairs. From 2007 to 2008, they were an Engineering Intern at SiC Systems, where they aided in the development of a newly patented process to grow Silicone Carbide wafers for use in the semiconductor industry, designed and fabricated laboratory hardware and developed an experiment for treating the surface of the Si wafers to improve growth. From 2008 to 2009, they were a Mechanical Engineer at Custom Control Sensors. From 2009 to 2015, they were the Owner, Chief Design Engineer and Fabricator at Proudfoot Cycles. From 2015 to 2019, they were a Lead Product Development Engineer Bike Segment at Gates Corporation. Jon is currently a Lead Research and Development Engineer at Custom Control Sensors.
Jon Acuff obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Metropolitan State College of Denver between 2007 and 2009. Jon also attended Universal Technical Institute, where they earned a Degree in Automotive Technology from 2003 to 2004. Jon began their education in 1997 at the University of Colorado at Boulder, studying Mechanical Engineering and Physics until 2001.
