Torge Thönnessen

Torge Thönnessen has a diverse work experience in the field of battery technology and innovation. Torge is a co-founder and Chief Innovation Officer at CustomCells, a leading company in the development and mass production of specialized lithium-ion battery cells. Torge Thönnessen played a key role in driving technological transformation at CustomCells since January 2012.

In addition, they are a shareholder and investor at cylib GmbH, a start-up focused on holistic battery recycling. The company has developed an efficient and environmentally-friendly process for recovering valuable elements from electric car batteries, reducing CO2 emissions. Torge Thönnessen joined cylib in October 2022.
