Sönke Möller

Sönke Möller is a seasoned professional in advanced research and engineering, currently serving as the Director of Advanced Research at Cutera, Inc. since July 2017. Leading a team of 15 engineers, Sönke has been instrumental in developing AviClear, the first FDA-approved laser treatment for acne, overseeing its successful pilot production and FDA clearance. Prior roles include Principal Research Engineer, where Sönke led the development of a novel laser source resulting in multiple patents, and Senior Research Engineer, responsible for high-power laser systems and clinical testing. Sönke's background includes postdoctoral research at UC Berkeley, optics engineering consulting at Nodexus Inc., and graduate research at prestigious institutions, culminating in a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of California, Berkeley.
