Yamitha Lakshitha

Yamitha Lakshitha has a strong background in product design and UX consulting. Yamitha is currently working as a Product Designer at Cut+Dry since June 2023. Previously, they held a role as a Senior UX Consultant at EY from August 2022 to June 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Product Designer at The Nescius from February 2022 to August 2022.

Yamitha also has experience working as a Product Designer at Wibble, a startup company, from August 2019 to March 2022. In this role, they led the project as the sole product designer, managed the development team, and played a key role in team building and shaping the culture. Yamitha also designed and built the product website and generated marketing content.

Before joining Wibble, Yamitha co-founded Scarlet Ruby, an online shoe business, in August 2017. Yamitha and their wife ran the business on a just-in-time system seasonally.

Prior to their entrepreneurial venture, Yamitha worked as a UX Designer at Motion Miracles from August 2017 to August 2019. Yamitha also gained experience as an Associate UX/UI Engineer at CodeGen International from February 2017 to August 2017. Yamitha started their career as a Trainee at CodeGen International in July 2016 and worked until January 2017.

Yamitha's earliest work experience was as a Market Administrator at Agoda from January 2015 to May 2015.

Yamitha Lakshitha completed a degree in International Business Management from Buckinghamshire New University from 2012 to 2016. Prior to that, from 1999 to 2011, they attended Dharmaraja College - Kandy, where they received an advanced level degree in Business/Commerce, General. In terms of additional certifications, Yamitha obtained several certifications in various fields. In 2021, Yamitha obtained a Certificate of membership from the Interaction Design Foundation (IxDF). In 2022, they obtained certifications such as "Email Etiquette: Write More Effective Emails at Work," "The 90-Minute UX Audit + UI Redesign," "UI Design Bootcamp. Master Typography, Colour & Grids," and "EY Innovation - Design thinking - Learning" from institutions like Udemy and EY. They also received certifications in "Innovation Master Class," "UX & Design Thinking Quick Start," "UX Strategy Fundamentals," "Creativity, Design Thinking, and Innovation for Business," "Culture | How to Make Team Decisions," and "Design Thinking in 3 Steps" from Udemy in 2022. Finally, in 2022, Yamitha completed a certification on "How to Create a UX Portfolio" from the Interaction Design Foundation (IxDF).
