John Ryan

John Ryan, CFA, currently serves as General Counsel and Director of Legal and Finance at CVE (Changing Visions of Energy) since August 2025. Prior to this role, John Ryan was a Partner at King & Spalding from 2024 to August 2025. John Ryan's extensive legal career includes positions as Managing Director and Associate General Counsel at Capital One from 2015 to 2023, and Senior Vice President and Senior Counsel at GE from 2006 to 2015. Earlier in the career, John Ryan worked as an Associate at both Milbank LLP from 2000 to 2006 and Cahill Gordon & Reindel from 1997 to 2000. John Ryan earned a Doctor of Law (JD) from The George Washington University Law School from 1993 to 1996, and a BA from the University of Connecticut from 1988 to 1992.
