Markus Schwarzer has a diverse work experience in the music industry. Markus is currently the CEO of Cyanite.ai, a company that develops AI tools for music search, recommendation, and analysis. Prior to that, they worked as a guest lecturer at Popakademie Baden-Württemberg. In 2016, they co-founded Groovecat, the largest community for capturing and sharing music moments, where they held the role of CEO. Before that, they were the Head of Marketing at Serve & Volley Records from 2013 to 2015. Markus also worked as a Project Manager at Shoot Music from 2012 to 2014 and as a PR-Manager and intern at Verstärker Medienmarketing GmbH from 2013 to 2014. Markus started their career as an intern at Grand Hotel van Cleef GmbH in 2012.

Markus further pursued their education and obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Music & Creative Industries from Popakademie Baden-Württemberg, which they completed from 2014 to 2016.
