Cyber Mettle is a Florida-based nonprofit in formation with a simple goal: make practical cybersecurity accessible to the organizations that keep communities running, while creating real entry-level pathways into cybersecurity work. We are building a model that is grounded, repeatable, and designed to scale. 

We are building a program that will deliver low-cost or no-cost cyber resilience education and basic security support to eligible organizations, paired with a workforce development pipeline that provides supervised, paid, entry-level experience in governance, risk, and compliance (GRC). In plain terms: we help organizations reduce preventable risk, and we help new professionals get the real experience the market now demands.

Our primary focus is nonprofit and community-serving organizations. Where consistent with 501(c)(3) rules and objective financial-need criteria, we also plan to support qualifying small and mid-sized businesses that (1) operate in underserved communities and/or provide mission-critical local services and (2) demonstrate financial need.

We are designing a delivery model that is practical, not theoretical.

Cyber risk is no longer a “big company problem.” Smaller nonprofits and community-serving organizations are increasingly targeted, often without dedicated IT staff, security budgets, or even basic controls. A single incident can take critical services offline, expose sensitive data, and damage trust.

At the same time, the cybersecurity job market has developed a structural gap: “entry-level” roles frequently require multiple years of experience, which traps capable new professionals in a loop. Training alone does not create employability if no one will provide the first real opportunity.

Cyber Mettle is being built to solve both problems at once: deliver accessible cyber resilience support to organizations that need it, and create supervised, paid, entry-level work that builds real capability.
