Almas Mohammed

Almas Mohammed is a skilled cyber security professional with significant experience in threat hunting and security operations. At CyberProof, Almas served as both a Cyber Security Analyst (Shift Lead) and a Cyber Threat Hunter, where responsibilities included prioritizing shift tasks and leading proactive threat hunts that identified critical vulnerabilities, successfully reducing detection gaps by 30%. Almas investigated and contained over 100 high-severity incidents annually, utilizing advanced tools such as Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, SentinelOne, and CrowdStrike. Prior to this, Almas worked at UST as a SOC Analyst, monitoring enterprise environments using SIEM tools to analyze security events and effectively mitigating malware and phishing threats across a widespread network of endpoints. Almas holds an MSc in Cyber/Computer Forensics and Information Security from the University of Madras and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Kerala University.
