Monica Nio, CMP

Monica Nio, CMP has a diverse work experience that spans over a decade. Monica currently holds the position of Global Field Marketing Lead at Cycode. Prior to this, Monica worked at Tessian as the Sr. Manager, Field and Channel Marketing, where they were recognized for their contributions with the "Get Sh*t Done" award at SKO 2023. Monica also served as the Field Marketing Manager, North America at Tessian. Monica's previous roles include Senior Field Marketing Manager, Associate Manager, Events Marketing, and Marketing Events Coordinator at Jobvite. Before that, they worked at the California Society of CPAs/CalCPA Education Foundation as the Lead Conference Coordinator and Event Coordinator. Monica also gained valuable experience at the San Mateo County Event Center, where they held various positions including Fair & Event Coordinator and Office Assistant. Additionally, they worked as an Events and Programs Management Intern at the Palo Alto Chamber of Commerce and as a Marketing Intern at the San Mateo County Event Center. Monica's early career included a role as an Account Payable Assistant at Environmental Chemical Corporation. Monica Nio, CMP, completed their education with a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality, Tourism & Event Management, with a minor in Business, from San Jose State University. Monica attended the university from 2007 to 2011, focusing on the field of Hospitality. Before that, Monica attended Aragon High School from 2004 to 2007.

In addition to their formal education, Monica Nio has acquired various certifications to enhance their professional skills. Monica obtained the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) certification from the Events Industry Council in August 2017. Furthermore, they completed the Adult CPR/AED certification from ProTrainings in February 2023. Additionally, Monica attained certification in Virtual Events from Drift in February 2021.
