Mark O'Sullivan

Mark O'Sullivan has a diverse work experience in the field of cybersecurity. Mark is currently working as a Lead Security Engineer at Cygnvs Inc. since July 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Bank of Ireland as a Security Testing Lead from January 2021 to July 2022.

Before joining Bank of Ireland, Mark worked at Deloitte Ireland. Mark started as a Cyber Security Analyst in September 2015 and progressed to the role of Assistant Manager. During their time at Deloitte, Mark conducted and managed various penetration tests and vulnerability assessments for web applications, networks, wireless networks, mobile applications, IoT devices, and physical systems. Mark also provided secure code development training and conducted cyber maturity assessments for organizations. Mark'stenure at Deloitte lasted from September 2015 to January 2021.

Prior to Deloitte, Mark gained experience as a Systems Analyst at Fidelity Investments from March 2014 to September 2014. Mark'sresponsibilities at Fidelity included analyzing spam emails, creating spam filters, and conducting vulnerability and patch scanning.

Mark O'Sullivan obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Enterprise Computing from Dublin City University, completing their studies from 2011 to 2015. In addition to their degree, they have obtained various certifications. Mark became an Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) in May 2019 through Offensive Security. Mark also achieved the Pentest+ (Plus) certification from CompTIA in April 2018. In July 2016, they obtained the System Security Certified Practitioner certification from (ISC)². Mark holds the ISTQB Foundation Certificate from ISTQB - International Software Testing Qualifications Board, which they obtained in November 2013. Furthermore, they obtained the Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals certification from Microsoft in July 2021, and the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in August 2020.
