Jairo Ramirez

Jairo Ramirez serves as the Global Commercial Director for Mining Technology at Cyient, starting in February 2024. Previously, Jairo held multiple senior roles at BHP from May 2017 to February 2024, including Principal Asset Improvement, where management of the Improvement framework enhanced operational efficiency across Minerals Australia. Jairo also led a team as Principal Project Delivery, managing a $45M capital budget for the Technology Western Pilbara Iron Ore sites. Jairo’s career includes positions such as Analysis & Improvement Lead at South32 and Process Engineer at Middlemount Coal Pty Ltd, with a foundational role as Production Superintendent at BHP. Jairo's educational background includes ongoing studies for a Master’s in Technology MBA from OBS Business School and a diploma in Project Management from the Australian Institute of Management, alongside a Bachelor's in Metallurgical Engineering from Universidad Industrial de Santander.
