Johan Fagerlund

Johan Fagerlund has held various significant roles in the engineering and sustainability sectors, currently serving as a Service Line Delivery Manager at Cyient since November 2012, where responsibilities include overseeing plant engineering for Energy Transition development. Previous positions include Director of Sustainable Solutions, Sustainability Champion, and Project Manager, focusing on executing multi-discipline engineering projects. Johan's expertise in process design is reflected in a role as Chief Design Engineer for engine power plants and experience as a Process Engineer and CCS Advisor at Fortum Oslo Varme, where involvement in carbon capture technology evaluation was key. Additional experience includes a role as Carbon Capture Technology Manager at Klemetsrudanlegget AS and research work at Åbo Akademi University, contributing to carbon dioxide capture and storage. Johan's educational background encompasses a Doctor of Science in Thermal and Flow Engineering and ongoing work towards becoming an Associate Professor in Process and Systems Engineering.
