Luis Pena has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Luis is currently working at CYNTECH as the Director of System Engineering since January 2023, where they also previously served as a Project Manager starting in April 2020. Prior to this, Luis worked at TorcSill Foundations from January 2017 to March 2020 as a Structural/Geotechnical Engineer E.I.T., where they contributed to the advancement and growth of the company's engineered helical pile and anchor solutions. Luis also gained research experience at the University of Oklahoma as a Graduate Research Assistant and Graduate Teaching Assistant from 2015 to 2017, focusing on geotechnical engineering and performance monitoring of GRS-IBS bridges. Before that, Luis worked at ICO Group Construction as a Project Engineer in 2013, overseeing large-scale residential projects and leading a crew of up to 50 members. Luis started their career as an Undergraduate Research Student at the Universidad de Los Andes, specializing in urban and regional sustainability from 2009 to 2013.
Luis Pena completed their Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Universidad de Los Andes. Luis then pursued a Master of Science in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Geotechnical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma.
