Bryan James Black is currently an Associate Principal Scientist at Cyprotex US, LLC, where they focus on using optical and electrical neural interfaces to explore neural excitability and chronic pain conditions. They have extensive experience in imaging, electrophysiology, electrochemistry, and molecular biology, which supports their research in neural engineering. Bryan previously served as a Research Scientist at The University of Texas at Dallas and held positions as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Texas at Arlington. They earned a Ph.D. in Physics from The University of Texas at Arlington and a B.S. in Physics from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
