Julie Eakins

Julie Eakins is a Senior Research Scientist at Cyprotex, where since September 2014, responsibilities include supporting mitochondrial toxicity research and developing the XFe96 flux analyser, a functional mitochondrial assay utilizing the Seahorse platform. Prior experience at AstraZeneca from October 1987 to September 2014 as a Senior Scientist involved in-vitro toxicology and the development of various in-vitro assays, with a focus on identifying and developing methods to detect drug-induced mitochondrial dysfunction. Julie holds a Bachelor's degree in Applied Biology from The Manchester Metropolitan University.
