Lara Ward

Lara Ward is a dedicated Principal Scientist at Cyprotex since August 2015, previously serving as a DMPK Project Leader in Oncology at AstraZeneca from October 2006 to July 2015, where responsibilities included developing non-clinical DMPK strategies and ensuring successful clinical investment decisions for multiple projects. Lara also held positions as Team Leader and Associate Team Leader within AstraZeneca’s Oncology Discovery DMPK, contributing to the design and interpretation of DMPK studies, which resulted in two candidate drug nominations for clinical development. Earlier professional experience includes serving as a Senior Scientist and Postdoctoral Research Scientist with expertise in drug metabolism and the investigation of drug transport mechanisms. Education includes a PhD in Molecular Toxicology and a BSc in Biochemistry & Chemistry, both from Imperial College London.
