On August 5, 2025, Cyril Jefferson, Mayor of High Point, laid out a clear and practical vision for the future of North Carolina’s 6th Congressional District, pledging to deliver results—not rhetoric—for working families across the state.

“I am proud to announce that I am running for Congress in the 6th Congressional District. North Carolinians are tired of the noise and the gridlock,” said Jefferson. “They want leaders who listen, who solve problems, and who deliver results. That’s exactly what I’m committed to doing. That’s why I’m running.”

With a track record of real-world leadership, Jefferson unveiled a set of policy priorities aimed at strengthening the economy, enhancing public safety, expanding opportunity, and securing the well-being of North Carolina families—all without raising taxes.
