Michael Castillo

Michael Castillo is an experienced Information Technology and Cyber Security professional, currently serving as a lead instructor in Cyber Security and IT at CyRoot Academy. With over 25 years of post-secondary teaching experience, they also teach as an adjunct professor at Chaffey Community College, specializing in Computer Information Systems. Michael’s career began in the US Army, where they served in Airborne and Special Forces units before transitioning to various roles, including business development and technical training. They hold a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from DeVry University and recently completed a Cyber Security program at San Diego State University. As a dedicated mentor and father of three, Michael aims to inspire the next generation of technology professionals while actively contributing to the defense of critical information systems.
