Dave Smith is a seasoned professional in data center operations with extensive experience in leadership roles. Currently serving as Senior Director of Regional Operations at CyrusOne since July 2025, Dave has previously held significant positions at Microsoft from February 2017 to July 2025, including Senior Director of Data Center Operational Modeling and Director of Regional Data Center Operations. Prior experience includes roles at VMC Consulting Services and VMC Consulting Corporation, where Dave progressed from Data Center Technician to Data Center Operations Supervisor. Additionally, Dave began a career in information technology as a Field Services Engineer at Virginia Systems, Inc.
