J. Benjamin Nye served as Chief Executive Officer at Turbonomic, the leader in multi-cloud application resource automation. Following a successful turnaround, Turbonomic was named to the Inc5000 list of fastest growing companies six times. In 2021, the company was acquired by IBM.
Additionally, Ben is a veteran venture and growth investor serving as Co-Managing Partner at Bain Capital Ventures. During his tenure, Ben was named to Forbes “Midas List” of the World’s top VC investors six times with companies such as AppAssure, Archer Technologies, Rapid7, dynaTrace, Solarwinds, docusign, LinkedIn, and Turbonomic.
Previously, Ben was Senior Vice President at VERITAS Software following its acquisition of Precise Software, where he served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer. He played an integral role in transforming Precise from a $10M privately-held company to a $100M public company – which subsequently became the fastest-growing public company in its space. Previously, Ben was a principal at Allied Capital. He also served as a political appointee member of the Senior Executive Service and direct report to US Treasury Secretaries Robert Rubin and Lloyd Bentsen.
Ben currently serves on the boards of Cysiv, Rapid7, and Elastio. Ben was a Harvard Scholar, graduating with Honors from Harvard College and Harvard Business School.
