Alexandra Buck

Director, Biostatistics at Cytel

Alexandra Buck has a diverse work experience in the field of biostatistics. Alexandra started as an Intern in Quality Management at Parrish Medical Center in 2008. Later, they worked as a Research Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University and then joined Rho in 2009. At Rho, Alexandra served as a Graduate Research Assistant, Biostatistician, and Senior Biostatistician, with responsibilities including leading statistical programming teams, developing specifications for randomization systems, and drafting statistical analysis plans. In 2019, they transitioned to Cytel and took on the role of Principal Biostatistician, where they provided statistical leadership and expertise for clinical development projects. Alexandra's career at Cytel progressed, and they are currently serving as Associate Director, Biostatistics, leading statistical teams and providing input into study protocols and statistical analysis plans.

Alexandra Buck completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Economics-Statistics at Carnegie Mellon University from 2005 to 2009. Alexandra then pursued further education and obtained their Master of Science degree in Biostatistics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill between 2009 and 2011.
