Jonas Häggström

Jonas Häggström has extensive work experience in the field of health and advanced analytics. Jonas currently holds the position of Vice President of Global Health and Advanced Analytics at Cytel since January 2020. In addition, Jonas is a Board Member at Umeå School of Business, Economics, and Statistics (USBE) starting from 2022. Jonas is also involved with the H3D Foundation as a Global Health Mentorship Program participant starting from 2022.

Jonas has previously worked as an Expert Statistical and Data Science Lead Advisor at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, starting from 2015. Jonas has also served as an Expert Evaluator for the European Commission and as an Expert Statistician and Owner at Holy Diver Consulting in 2014.

Jonas has contributed to the International COVID-19 Data Alliance (ICODA) as the Chair of the Statistical Expert Group from June 2020 to December 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Chief Scientific Officer at MTEK Sciences, where they were a founding partner from March 2018 to December 2019.

In their earlier career, Jonas worked as a part-time researcher at Uppsala University's Department of Pharmaceutical Biosciences from 2015 to 2016. Jonas also held the position of Head of Biostatistics and Programming Europe, Director at Cognizant Technology Solutions in 2013 and 2014.

Jonas Häggström holds a PhD degree in Statistics which they obtained from Umeå University. Jonas pursued this degree from 1995 to 2000.
