Michael Ziegler

Michael Ziegler has extensive work experience in the field of statistical programming. Michael started their career at Alcon in 2005 as a Senior SAS Programmer I, where they focused on producing accurate reports using SAS to support the cleaning of clinical trial data. Michael also developed new programs and methodologies as randomizations became more complex.

In 2011, Michael continued their role at Alcon as a Senior Statistical Programmer, specializing in randomization programming. Michael collaborated with statisticians and clinical team members to shape randomization requirements and facilitated the randomization and dosing of subjects in pivotal trials.

In 2017, Michael transitioned to Novartis, where they worked as a Senior Statistical Programmer within the Alcon Statistical Programmers team. Michael facilitated the transition of randomization activities to contractors due to restructuring and provided guidance on randomization requirements.

During their time at DOCS as a Contract SAS Programmer, Michael worked on various assignments for different clients. Michael updated standard macros, developed and performed quality control on statistical programs, and documented statistical (SAS) programs in support of department projects for Janssen Oncology. Michael also overhauled randomization and unmasking processes for Alcon with an assigned statistician and trained DOCS principal programmers.

Most recently, Michael joined Cytel as a Sr Programmer 1 in 2020. The specific details of their role in this position are not provided.

Michael Ziegler has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics from The University of Texas at Austin. Michael also pursued Economics studies at the University of Arizona - Eller College of Management, although they did not complete a specific degree program there.
