Pratima Pointi

Pratima Pointi has over 17 years of experience in statistical programming and data management. Pratima is currently serving as an Associate Director at Cytel since February 2021. In this role, they contribute to the development of a strong team of statistical programmers by managing local programmers and ensuring effective communication and information flow. Pratima also leads or contributes to statistical programming activities on BDM projects, ensuring the quality and timeliness of deliverables.

Prior to Cytel, Pratima worked as a Principal Statistical Programmer at PRA Health Sciences from October 2018 to February 2021. Pratima ensured the accuracy and consistency of data flow and served as a mentor to other senior programmers. Pratima also demonstrated expertise in industry metadata submission requirements.

From 2015 to 2018, Pratima worked as a Senior Statistical Programmer at Syneos Health. In this role, they served as a core project team member, designing and specifying the overall approach to SDTM project's programming tasks. Pratima worked on multiple studies for FSP clients and played a lead role in SDTM conversion studies.

Pratima has also held positions at Auxilium Pharmaceuticals, Inc as a Senior Clinical Programmer from May 2014 to February 2015, and at PRA International as a Database Programmer III from October 2010 to May 2014. Pratima has experience in supporting projects/programs for research studies, programming support for SDTM/derived data sets, and validation of analysis data sets.

Additionally, Pratima has worked at OMNICARE CLINICAL RESEARCH INC as a Lead SAS Programmer from June 2009 to September 2010, at Octagon Research Solutions as a Data Mapping Specialist from October 2005 to June 2009, and at Comsys worked for client Pfizer(Mapping Project) as a SAS Programmer from May 2005 to October 2005. Pratima was involved in various tasks such as writing data mapping specifications, converting source datasets to SDTM datasets, and ensuring adherence to Pfizer standards.

Before entering the healthcare field, Pratima worked at SBC Communications as a SAS programmer from October 2004 to April 2005. Pratima was involved in extracting and transforming data from teradata into SAS SPDS datasets for a Call Center Transformation Project.

Pratima Pointi completed their education at Osmania University in Hyderabad. From 1997 to 2000, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Statistics. Afterward, they continued their studies at the same university and obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science from 2000 to 2002.
