Deddy Lavid has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Deddy is currently the Founder and CEO of CyVers- Securing Web3, where they focus on security incident detection and response, threat intelligence, institutional DeFi, and crypto exchanges. Deddy is also a member, advisor, and angel investor at CCL, a cybersecurity community that supports early-stage start-ups in the industry. Deddy has previous experience as an angel investor at Data Science Group and as an advisor and seed investor at Cybord.
Prior to these roles, Deddy worked at SKF Group, where they held multiple positions including Industrial Analytics SW Development Director, SKF AI CEO and Site Manager/GM, and AI and Software Development Director. In these roles, they managed development centers, led AI initiatives, and oversaw operations and resources for the group. Before SKF, Deddy was a founder, CTO, and VP Data Science at Presenso, which was acquired by SKF. Deddy also worked as Big Data Team Lead and Senior Software & Data Science Engineer at Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, where they focused on software development, algorithm development, and research and development in artificial intelligence and machine learning.
Deddy's work experience also includes being the Co-Founder and CTO of AppOcalipse, a company that specializes in app analysis and recommendation. Deddy started their career in the IDF as an Infantry Officer in the Golani Brigade. Deddy brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in cybersecurity, AI, software development, and defense systems to their current and previous roles.
Deddy Lavid completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science at the University of Haifa from 2014 to 2015. Prior to that, they earned a Master's Degree (M.sc.) in Computer and Information Sciences from the same university between 2011 and 2013. Deddy began their higher education journey at the University of Haifa, where they obtained their Bachelor's degree (B.Sc.) in Computer Science from 2007 to 2010. Deddy Lavid's educational journey started at The Hebrew Reali School, where they completed their high school education in Computer Science from 1997 to 2001.
