Thomas Harrington has decades of valuable experience in protecting large critical infrastructure and has a resolute stand against growing cyber threats. His area of expertise includes strategic management, as well as leadership development in the cybersecurity field. Before he began his journey with Citigroup as the Managing Director and Chief Information Security Officer, he served for more than 25 years at the FBI.

Harrington was responsible for bringing innovative cybersecurity initiatives at Citi. He was also a member of the Operations & Technology (O&T) senior leadership team, serving of the O&T Management Committee, the Information Security Committee, the Global Fraud Management Committee and the Global O&T Business Risk, Compliance & Control Committee.

At the FBI, he served a number of roles. He was the Associate Executive Assistant Director for National Security Branch in 2007 and went on to become the Executive Assistant Director - Criminal, Cyber, Response, and Services Branch of the agency. During this period, he oversaw both the Criminal as well as the National Security Missions of the FBI. In 2010, he was appointed as the Associate Deputy Director becoming FBI’s Chief Operating Officer and holding the number three spot of the bureau.

Harrington has provenly fused the right management practices to accomplish the best of outcomes and actions necessary for the information security field.
