Michael Sprengel has a diverse work experience in the engineering field. Michael started their career as a Corporate Engineering Co-Op at Caterpillar Inc., where they served as a hydraulic test engineer and conducted tests on hydraulic valves. After that, they worked as a Product Design Intern at John Deere, where they designed and analyzed powertrain components. Following this, they joined Maha Fluid Power Research Center as a Graduate Researcher, specializing in the design, simulation, optimization, and testing of energy-efficient hydraulic hybrid systems. Currently, they are employed at Czero as a Sr. Engineer/Analyst, contributing to various engineering and analytical tasks.
Michael Sprengel has a strong educational background in engineering, specifically in the field of fluid power. Michael began their academic journey at the Missouri University of Science and Technology, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering in the years 2005 to 2010. Building upon this foundation, Sprengel pursued further studies at Purdue University, where they earned a Master of Science (M.S.) in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on fluid power, spanning from 2010 to 2013. Michael'spassion for the subject led him to continue their education at Purdue and obtain their highest academic achievement, a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Engineering with a specialization in fluid power from 2013 to 2015.
