D. Loewen Strategy Co. helps organizations and businesses think clearly, strategize, communicate with intention, and navigate complexity with confidence.

For nearly three decades, our work has thrived in intersections of strategy, communication, learning design, and community development.

We work with First Nation and Indigenous organizations, businesses, nonprofits, municipalities, and education partners across Western Canada—helping teams clarify their direction, make thoughtful decisions, and strengthen systems and communication to support their work.

Our approach is relatively simple:

Strategic questions → clear thinking → strong communication → practical outcomes.

We help people and organizations slow down, see the real problems, and create conditions for authentic collaboration, alignment, and pathways forward.

Our areas of practice include:

• Policy development, governance support, and organizational planning
• Board retreats, planning sessions, and multi-stakeholder facilitation
• Research, analysis, and development of strategic and community-based plans
• Strategic communications, writing and ghostwriting for leaders and organizations
• Instructional design and learning systems: micro-credentials, email courses, training programs
• Strategy and communications for First Nation organizations and regional economic development teams

Across all sectors and contexts, the aim is similar:

Think together. Communicate clearly. Manage conflict strategically. Get meaningful work done.

Our background spans public affairs, Indigenous community development, higher education, nonprofit leadership and fundraising, and instructional design—an eclectic foundation shaped by decades of hands-on work with organizations navigating real-world constraints and opportunities.

If your organization is facing complexity, planning for the future, or seeking a steady-thinking partner, we can help you build clarity, strategy, capability, and forward momentum.
