Mohammad Samani is a highly experienced physicist with a strong background in experimental physics and computational modeling. Currently serving as a Staff Experimental Physicist at D-Wave, a role commenced in January 2025, Mohammad previously held a position as a Senior Experimental Physicist at D-Wave Systems Inc. from January 2022 to January 2025. Prior to this, a postdoctoral researcher role took place at the University of Basel from January 2019 to December 2021, where significant work included the design and construction of apparatus for achieving ultra-low temperatures. Additionally, a research fellowship at The Hospital for Sick Children from January 2017 to December 2018 involved developing a three-dimensional mathematical model for cell dynamics in embryonic tissues. Mohammad holds a Bachelor's degree in Computational and Applied Mathematics from York University and a PhD in Physics from The University of British Columbia.
