Jake Connor is an experienced software developer with a strong background in both quantum computing and robotics. Currently serving as a Staff Software Developer at D-Wave since January 2021, Jake has developed Common Lisp software to enhance the operation of Annealing Quantum Processors and improved monitoring and alerting systems for production QPU solvers. As Director of the Canadian International Rover Challenge, Jake has organized annual robotics competitions that have attracted hundreds of students, while also implementing a robotic safety program. Previously, Jake held positions at Stealth Tech Company, Carleton Planetary Robotics Team, MDA Satellite Systems, Defense Research and Development Canada, and Carleton University's Department of Electronics, engaging in various software and electronics development projects. Jake holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Engineering Physics from Carleton University.
