Murray Thom has an extensive work experience in the field of quantum computing and technology. Murray has held various leadership roles at D-Wave, starting from Research Engineer in 2002 and progressing to Vice President of Quantum Business Innovation in 2023. During their tenure, they have also served as Vice President of Product Management and Vice President of Software and Cloud Services. Prior to D-Wave, Murray had a cooperative position at The University of British Columbia. Additionally, they have served as a Board Member for both the Digital Technology Supercluster and the Quantum Algorithms Institute from 2020 to 2022.
Murray Thom attended The University of British Columbia from 1997 to 2002, where they received a Bachelor of Applied Science degree. Murray'sstudies focused on Electrical Engineering with an honorary mention in Physics.
