Rahul Deshpande

Rahul Deshpande is a Staff Experimental Physicist and Senior Scientist at D-Wave since June 2021, with prior experience as a Scientist in Processor Development. Previously, Rahul held the position of Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Waterloo for a brief period in 2021 and served as a Graduate Student Researcher at the Institute for Quantum Computing from September 2013 to February 2021. Throughout the academic career, significant contributions included researching nuclear spin dynamics in silicon, designing control sequences for electron spin resonance, and gaining diverse research experience through internships at prestigious institutions such as Tata Institute of Fundamental Research and RWTH Aachen University. Rahul holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Waterloo and a BTech in Engineering Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati.
