Trevor Lanting

Trevor Lanting is a seasoned professional in the field of physics and software development, currently serving as Chief Development Officer at D-Wave since January 2008. Lanting has held various leadership roles at D-Wave, including Vice President of Software, Algorithms, and Cloud Services, Vice President of Science, and Director of Science, alongside a background as an Experimental Physicist. Prior to D-Wave, Lanting worked as a Postdoctoral Physicist at McGill University from 2006 to 2008 and completed a Ph.D. in Physics at the University of California, Berkeley, where studies took place from 2000 to 2006. Lanting’s foundational education includes a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Astronomy from the University of British Columbia.
