Emily Lu

Emily Lu is a Senior Fraud Strategy Manager at DataVisor since March 2023, previously serving as a Senior Analytics Consultant in Fraud Analytics at CIBC from October 2021 to March 2023, where significant improvements in fraud detection were achieved, including a rise in impersonation VDR from 44% to 79%. Prior to that, Emily was involved in education as a Mathematics Tutor at Easy Group Inc from September 2019 to January 2023, teaching calculus and statistics to over 500 students at UBC. Emily also served as a Research Assistant at The University of British Columbia in 2018, conducting cost-effective research on sensors and weather data collection. Emily holds a Master of Engineering in Transportation Engineering and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering from The University of British Columbia.
