Educare Dada Chi Shala Educational Trust is a Trust Registered under Bombay
Public Trust Act,1950. Founded by Abhijeet Pokharnikar and Shubham Mane. Its primary mission is to provide free education to underprivileged children, particularly those living on the streets and slum areas. Abhijeet Pokharnikar, a Law Student and social worker from Pune, initiated this effort to help children of laborer's and uneducated people from slum areas continue their education. The school operates in various locations in Pune district, today teaching around 750 underprivileged children across Pune, Maharashtra. Dada chi Shala aims to break the cycle of poverty by offering education, instilling confidence, and promoting self-reliance among these children. Year 2020 marked a huge breakthrough for him as in 2020 there was a summit held in Delhi for Sustainable Development Goals, organized by UN. Maharashtra was all set to send some people and Maai suggested Abhijeet’s name for the same. This was a huge opportunity for him and he embraced it whole heartedly. He and some of his colleagues did research on quality education and conducted a 15-day workshop on the same. They made around 270 pages research regarding education in Maharashtra. The research included topics that stated the difficulties people face in education all over Maharashtra from Anganwadi to Mahanagarpalika all the Zilaparishads and all. The research was made and later submitted to UNICEF. Now that same research is followed by UNICEF for their use. In this research paper he personally worked on the section which highlighted difficulties faced by street kids when it comes to quality education. How these kids are deprived of education because of their backgrounds and other factors like their communities and language barriers.
