Emily Childs is an architect with extensive experience in the construction and design industry, having worked in various sectors including retail, multi-family residential, hospitality, and higher education since 2004. Currently, they are an architect at Dake Collaborative and have previously held positions at Slope Architecture and Shears Adkins Rockmore Architects. Emily’s journey began with an internship at CDA&I; Architecture & Interiors and progressed through roles at WDG Architecture and Cho Benn Holback + Associates. In addition to their professional work, they have volunteered with organizations such as the National Building Museum and Habitat for Humanity. Emily earned a BA in Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Architecture from the University of Maryland College Park.
