Simon Winter is the Vice President for Reimagining Humanitarian Nutrition Security at the Rockefeller Foundation and the Executive Director of the Sustainable Agriculture Foundation's International Association. With deep expertise in agriculture, food systems, and entrepreneurship, they have led initiatives to enhance resilience in local food systems and support smallholders. Simon served as the Executive Director of the Syngenta Foundation for Sustainable Agriculture from 2017 to 2024 and was previously a Senior Fellow at Harvard's Kennedy School, focusing on climate risks in sub-Saharan Africa. They hold a PhD in economics from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, which centered on the development of Zimbabwe’s manufacturing sector.
