Brian Chen

Brian currently serves as the Group Chief financial officer of Gama Corporation, which is an Indonesian conglomerate involved in the palm oil plantation, cement, trading, real estate, hospitality, energy and shipping sectors.

Brian is an active private investor with more than 10 years of investing experience. His current investment portfolio has a diverse scope, ranging from stakes in early-stage startups to sizeable investments in top-ranked hedge funds and VC funds. He previously co-founded a top F&B chain, Prive Group, in Hong Kong, which he sold off in 2017 as part of a shift in his investment strategy.

His prior professional experience includes Investment Banking, with a mix of capital markets and M&A experience, at Merrill Lynch, and heading the listed Indonesian healthcare company, Mayapada Healthcare Group, as its President Director. Brian is a CFA charterholder, and has a BBA (Hons) from the National University of Singapore.
