Sofien Lamiri

Sofien Lamiri currently serves as Managing Director and President of the Executive Board at DAMEN Shipyards Mangalia since June 2023, leading a workforce of 1,500 employees in the new build, ship repair, and conversion sectors within a joint venture between the Romanian state and DAMEN Holding. Prior to this role, Sofien held the position of Production Director at CMN - Constructions Mécaniques de Normandie and Chief Operating Officer at GERMAN NAVAL YARDS KIEL GmbH. Additional experience includes serving as an Internal Consultant for Executive Management at MEYER WERFT GmbH & Co. KG, Plant Manager and Head of Production at Flensburger Schiffbau-Gesellschaft, and Operations Management Consultant at ConMoto Consulting Group. Sofien began the professional journey with a solid academic foundation, earning a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and Management from the Technical University of Munich, and has contributed significantly to various aspects of production and operational excellence throughout the career.
