DAMet Services is a private company that was established to provide specialty supply, services and technical support to the Canadian blasting and explosives industry. DAMet original concept of providing specialty products and technical support for small user industries like: demolition, avalanche control, beaver dam control, police tactical units and Hazmat teams are still primary focus points of the company. 

In the area of custom blasting solutions, the company is currently providing turnkey drill and blast services to a major open pit mining operation in Alberta. In a more unique applications, it assisted with the creation of an artificial reef near Vancouver, BC,  cut 11 major power lines simultaneously on both sides of a major river in Calgary, AB,  disposed of 1500 pounds of old explosives in the high arctic, design system to vent & burn compressed flammable gases from truck and rail tankers.

Blaster training in the form of provincially approved courses (Alberta) dedicated to specific types of blaster certification are conducted on an irregular(as needed) bases but typical 2-5 courses per year. See our website for more details (www.damet.ca) on the training currently available.

Regulatory compliance support to assist companies of any size and individuals to obtain and maintain their federal licenses for purchasing and storing explosive materials.

The major infrastructure of North America is beginning to shows it age and more of these structures are requiring decommissioning. Many times the demolition of these structures are very time consuming and/or hazardous to complete. Explosive demolition is often the safest and most viable method to get the structure in a condition to be manageable from ground level for clean up and removal. DAMet has been involved in many structures in Canada requiring explosive demolition.

In 2017 the company became Canada's sole supplier of Air Show special effects capitalizing on the owners 20+ years experience in this industry.

DAMet is an Authorized Abloy Dealer providing key and lock services dedicated exclusively to the Canadian explosive industry. This division provides high security Abloy locks and custom built keys approved by the federal regulators and used in the Canadian explosive industry. 

The company is willing to look at any project or provide the services that require; sourcing, importation, storage, transportation, training for, or use of approved commercially explosives for Canada.
