Knud Andersen

Knud Andersen is an experienced professional in emergency management and humanitarian aid, currently serving as the Country Director at Folkekirkens Nødhjælp (DanChurchAid) since September 2021. Prior roles include Safety Advisor at the International NGO Safety Organisation and Emergency Programme Director at Concern Worldwide. Andersen has extensive leadership experience as Country Director for People in Need and Emergency Response Manager at Mission East, along with previous coordination roles in emergency response at Save the Children International. A background in special care work at the Danish Red Cross complements Andersen's academic achievements, which include an AP Graduate degree in Emergency and Disaster Risk Management from Professionshøjskolen Metropol and a Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology from Københavns Universitet.
